What are the minimum qualifying criteria for an Unmarried Partner visa?

To be eligible for the Unmarried Partner visa you must meet the following criteria:

You must earn at least a minimum amount of £18,600 per year. If you have a good amount of savings it is even better. In no situation you must seek support from the public funds

If you have a child as well as a spouse or partner as your dependent then you will need an extra  income of at least £22,400.

For each child, you will need to earn £2,400 of income per year.

How long will an Unmarried partner visa be granted for?

If you are applying from outside the UK, the visa will be valid for 33 months, which can be extended for a further 30 months.

If you are applying from inside the UK, the visa will be valid for 30 months, which can be extended for a further 30 months.

 Once you complete 5 years, you can apply for settlement in the UK.

What is the English Language proficiency requirement for an Unmarried Partner Visa?
